We smashed our record of 54.2 pounds the new record is 109 pounds. This event was a great success thanks to the scout and parents that help.

A special thanks to HEB on Louetta for donating the donuts to those scouts and parents helping in the event.

Don't forget the Cub Scout birthday celebration. The theme is "Discovering the Far East" and each den will be decorating two tables using this theme as well as a symbol from the Chinese zodiac. The planned menu and entertainment for the evening are coming together nicely.

Scouts are asked to arrive at 5:15 p.m. so that we can begin promptly at 5:30. The location will once again be at St. Ignatius Catholic Church located at 7810 Cypresswood Dr.

The Pinewood Derby is this Saturday, the 26th. Registration will begin at 11:00 a.m. and closes at 12 sharp, so be sure to be in line by 11:45! Once your car is registered, and has passed final raceday inspection, feel free to start viewing the other cars to vote for your favorites in design, originality, etc. Voting will be from 12 noon til 1:00 p.m. The race will start at 1:00 p.m.

Remember, this is Scout night with the Aeros as well, so take advantage of the edible goodies that will be on sale during the race so as not to go to the hockey game hungry!

Whoa boy, that was fuuun!!

The Pinewood Derby is fast approaching, so we will be setting up the track and pulling out the scale for the annual pinewood derby trials.

This has been a long awaited moment, but the pack finally has a website up. MyPack1550.org is the new site where you can find calendar events, post activities and read the Scout Scoop. This is the newsletter which will later replace the paper copy you receive now.

In the near furture Pack 1550 will be gluing stickers to drain cover in our community. The stickers will remind residents NOT to throw trash into the drains. Participation will count towards your Community Service patch, Leave-No-Trace award, or your World Conservation award.

Bear Den 10 has served their community by collecting more than 70 gently used coats that will be donated to NAM; Great Job Den 10! That's the way to 'Help other People'!
