Pack 1550 traditionally helps get the Houston National Veterans Cemetery ready for Memorial Day.  On Sunday, May 25^th (the day before Memorial Day) we will help place US flags around the cemetery.  For each flag we raise, we give it the proper respect and say the pledge of allegiance.  This is a great opportunity for the scouts to learn about Memorial Day and recognize the sacrifices that so many men and women veterans made to preserve our freedoms.

The flag set up begins at 1:00 pm, so scouts who are interested in helping should arrive no later than 12:30 pm.  The cemetery is located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, some distance south of FM 1960.  We will meet at the Hemicycle, the large centrally-located round monument.
