Come camping with pack 1550 at Huntsville State Park.

Camp the weekend for $30, don't forget there are additional entrance fees at the gate.

NO FIRE BAN – Bring your own Firewood

 Friday, March 20th

4:00pm Horseback riding **

5:30p.m. Horse Back Riding (slots still available -please call Lake Raven Stables [speak to Ashley (936-295-1985)]

Movie by Pam Macpherson, popcorn provided – bring your drink

Saturday, March 21st
 
Dens can pick and choose activites
Morning
 
9:00am-1:00pm Tigers, Learn to fish, State park program (Tigers and a parent-meet at the Group Screened Shelter - see park map legend- bring your registration forms filled out)
9:00am Guided Walk by State park guide (Led by State Park Guide/meet at the Nature Center) Dens will be encouraged to hike the State park trails after the interpretive walk to meet their own needs (led by parents and den Leaders/two deep)
9:00am Fishing (meet Alan Cegielski at the fishing pier)
9:00am-11:00am Wolves/Bears/Webelos - Bike safety and repair by Vinnie Roth, meet at his campsite
9:00am-11:00am Wolves/Bears/Webelos - Advanced Fishing by Alan Cegielski, meet at his campsite
   
10:30am Alligator Program lead by State Park guide
Afternoon  
1:00pm Neon Animals; How colors talk, Den Choices (all of these programs are led by the State Park Staff (and are available at the nature center)
2:00pm
Hide and seek Art of Camo, Den Choices (all of these programs are led by the State Park Staff (and are available at the nature center)
3:00pm Alligator Program offered by state park
3:00pm
Geology Belt loop by Kat Amundsen
Evening  
6:00pm Dutch Oven Dessert Cook-off Competition Judging
At Dark
Pack Camp Fire. (Glow Sticks provided by the pack)
(Have your skits ready – Dens’ provide their own smores materials at their sites after the campfire)
Sunday, March 22
 
7:00am-9:00am Pack breakfast by Den 11
10:00am Scouts own
2:00pm Check out

Horse back riding Slots still available for 9am and 1p.m. and throughout the day on Sunday. Call the stables directly at 936-295-1985

  • 14 slots per session
  • Scouts take priority, but siblings are welcome if space available
  • $25 per person due by March 17th
